February 28, 2021, marked the 30th anniversary of the end of the Gulf War. Several members and leaders of the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation were involved in both Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
In total, the conflict lasted six months, three weeks, and five days from August 2, 1990, to February 28, 1991. While the involvement of the United States Military was relatively short compared to previous military engagements, the Gulf War marked the greatest rise in support for American Soldiers since World War II.
As the Foundation works to raise funds for the new The Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum, we invite you to help us preserve the legacy of the men and women who served during the Gulf War. Become a member of the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation today.
