Today, we honor and remember Private First Class Milton Arthur Lee, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary bravery during the Vietnam War. On April 26, 1968, near Phu Bai, Pfc. Lee risked his life above and beyond the call of duty. Despite the intense enemy fire and sustained wounds, he single-handedly assaulted enemy positions, saving the lives of his comrades and ensuring the success of his platoon’s mission. His heroic actions reflect the highest traditions of military service and continue to inspire us all.
Pfc. Lee was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and was laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. We will never forget his selflessness and courage. #MedalOfHonor #Hero #VietnamWar #101stAirborne #NeverForget
